Syndicate of Sound

Santa Cruz County Fair, Watsonville, CA

Get ready for an epic night revisiting the most creative decade in rock history. Catch the Syndicate of Sound, the band that put the South Bay Area on the rock-'n'-roll map when their snarling anthem "Little Girl" skyrocketed into the national Top Ten in 1966.  Founding members Don Baskin (vocals), Bob Gonzalez (bass), and Jim Sawyers (guitar), flanked by Pat Hennessy on drums and Tom Muller on keyboards, combine song, story, and dance to recreate the Heart of The Sixties! Kenn Ellner, founder of San Jose-based 60’s rockers the Count V (“Psychotic Reaction”), and Joan Chiasera, renown vocalist and violinist for Gypsy, join the Syndicate to present this high-powered revival. If you were there, you’ll delight in the flashback.  If you weren’t, this is your chance to experience first-hand the mind-altering sounds, the frantic go-go dancing… and more from the Syndicate of Sound.  What could be groovier!
